About the artist

I've always had a passion for art, and when I'm away from my day job at PwC, I try my best to find the time to create new pieces of work. A few years ago I studied Illustration at Central Saint Martins, which re-sparked my appreciation of how the subtlety of a message within a piece of artwork can be an incredibly powerful tool to ignite emotion and get people thinking. This drove my inspiration to create this piece for Art For The Earth and WWF.

About the art

The ever expanding growth of mega cities creates an ongoing battle between nature and urbanisation to exist within inherently finite space. Within that constant struggle some cities manage to find a balance and achieve a sense of harmony between green and concrete, and the co-existence of nature and city.
