About the artist
“Born and raised in the south of England but now loving life in Yorkshire, i have been creating art for over 20 years. I spent a lot of my childhood with family in the great outdoors of England and Wales and I cherish the memories of long walks along the beach and picnics in the countryside. This is my inspiration for my art which focusses on landscapes and seascapes. One of my children is autistic and I've learnt to understand the importance of space in moments of overwhelm, my paintings of big vistas also reflect this”

About the art
My piece shows a dying tree with a single green leaf to illustrate to the viewers how important trees are to our planet, they literally give us oxygen to breathe! The background is colourful and can be interpreted as a beautiful sunset or a fiery problem, and it's up to us to look after the planet and do what we can to protect it.
