About the artist

I am from London and loved painting as a child & teenager, but sadly didn't keep it up when I went to university. The lockdowns in recent years provided me with the opportunity to pick up a paint brush and have the space and time to fall in love with painting again! I like painting landscapes, using acrylic paint. I enjoy painting on different surfaces but use mainly canvas or watercolour paper.

About the art

This painting is inspired by a recent holiday to Madeira. I was amazed at the rugged coastal landscape of the island, but like so many places in the world, its landscape, coasts and wildlife are going to be drastically impacted by climate change. This painting is also inspired by the work WWF is doing to protect the seas and coastal environments around the globe.
