About the artist

I am an Assistant Director in Corporate Finance at PwC. The world of M&A excites me, and I like the fast-paced nature of my job; but I am also energised by the simple things in life and spending time in nature. In my spare time I enjoy creating art and crafts, working with different elements and mediums. I love nature and the awe-inspiring yet seemingly simple beauty it creates. Art for the Earth was a perfect opportunity to create something both inspired by and made from nature.

About the art

This piece is created from afternoons spent beachcombing in South Devon. It combines natural shells and discarded man-made elements such as glass and pottery, shaped and worn by the sea. Beachcombing is a tangible demonstration of the collision of nature and man; and the enduring ability for the natural world to produce beauty, even from our waste. Inspired by nature it depicts a coastal sunset, one of nature’s most beautiful paintings, and is created from nature itself
