About the artist

My art is inspired by a love of old school billboards – how they fade through time, and as more layers get applied, they become home to diverse narratives – words and images peeking out and taking you by surprise. I believe my art has visual impact and a clear message. Each time you revisit one of my pieces, you may noticesomething entirely new that you didn’t spot before. There have been so many influences on my art that I feel my work does not sit in a specific genre. Simply look and enjoy it as it is. As for Sqwumpy, that is my childhood nickname created by my dad.

About the art

Replicating the ageing process of billboards, with many layers telling different stories, I’m hoping my DeCollage ‘Hunt the Tiger’ tells its own compelling story.

It’s a celebration of nature, but at the same time, a few images and sentences poke through prompting us to have a good think about our responsibilities and what the hell we are doing to our natural world.
