About the artist

“I’ve an obsession with billboards and the stories they tell. Through this I discovered Décollage, where an image is created by ripping/taking parts away. Under my nickname ‘Sqwumpy’ I started to create my own art during lockdown, creating pieces for family and friends. AftE presented the opportunity to challenge myself whilst raising awareness and money for WWF. Hopefully, my creative work brings a smile to some whilst inspiring others to join the challenge.”

About the art

Someone said to me ‘it’s all about the frame’, but I hope my art speaks for itself. The right frame was key, with the right dimensions, removal of the glass, patinaed paint and my art added, it’s like a billboard. Previous AftE submissions were dark/angry, so I’ve created a lighter celebration of our ‘Lush’ planet. We aren’t the most considerate inhabitants, but there’s lots of wonderful things to celebrate on this Earth.
