About the artist

I am a self taught artist based in Hampstead. I like to paint with oils and love to paint stunning landscapes that I've been lucky enough to see (and capture in a photo). I started Art for the Earth in 2020 as a way to try and make a positive impact on our natural world. The natural world is a beautiful gift trusted to us to look after and it pains me that we are destroying it for financial gain. Art for the Earth is my way of trying to affect some form of positive change and I welcome anyone that also wants to drive that change to join us.

About the art

This oil on canvas painting is based on a family favourite view of Corfu. Shockingly, the mountain top at the centre of this piece was in the news this year due to wild fires. As we continue to make few changes to the way we live, huge climate events are happening more regularly. Our planet is changing now and it is happening right in front of us.
