About the artist

“I'm a self taught artist based in London that loves to paint natural lanscapes in oils. I started Art for the Earth in 2020 when feeling a huge urge to do something more to protect our natural world. Seeing the damage we are doing to the planet fills me with a horrible dread, and the only thing we can do is try to take action against it. It's been a privelledge to meet so many people that feel the same.”

About the art

'Land of Fire and Ice' is an image (right) taken by an old school friend, adventurer and talented photographer, Laurence Fry. He took it as the sun rose from behind an Icelandic mountain range. For me it represents the polar opposites of fire and ice coming together, how our planet is battling to maintain equilibrium, whilst capturing a real snapshot of an ice filled lake falling victim to the planet's warming. The landscape is stunningly beautiful, but has an underlying sadness.
