About the artist
“I am a junior school teacher from West Sussex. My dear friend, who works for PWC, asked if I would like to take part in this year's fundraiser and I thought "why not" it's a challenge and for a good cause. I hope my contribution will help raise some money for a wonderful and increasingly important organisation.”

About the art
This cape represents the WWF's Trillion Trees project and depicts the world's forests. To do this as accurately as possible I used the Global Forest Watch website. The darkest coloured thread shows where the primary forests are, the lighter threads represent forest tree cover. Each forest has been embroidered using French knots. I worked on the embroidery over several months, even taking it on holiday with me! I hope that it brings someone joy.
