About the art

This piece began as something darker, stormier, and uncertain. The canvas was full of clouds and noise. Over time, I kept painting, layering, sod softening. Eventually, the storm faded. Moonwake is a moment of movement, and the moments of stillness. It speaks of earth, of us, of the weight we carry, and a quiet clarity that sometimes follow. We all weather storms. And sometimes, all it takes is a moon, sometimes, a wave is enough.
