About the artist

I’m a Senior Manager in Consulting at PwC but outside work I love spending time painting and being creative. I’m delighted to contribute this piece to Art for the Earth — it’s a lovely opportunity to share something I genuinely enjoy while helping to raise funds for a cause that matters.

About the art

Manatees are gentle, wonderful aquatic mammals whose survival depends on healthy seagrass habitats, which have been devastated by pollution-driven algal blooms causing widespread starvation and deaths. When natural seagrass became scarce, wildlife officials used romaine lettuce as a vital temporary alternative to nourish and save many manatees. This painting celebrates their quiet grace, highlights the urgent need to restore their habitats, and offers a hopeful vision of thriving underwater ecosystems and a brighter future for these gentle giants.
